Jaunting cars.
Ireland day 4.
No 5.30 alarm call ( doggies back home) so we didn’t wake up until after 8 o’clock this morning what a treat.
We set off after breakfast our destination today was the Torc Waterfall within Killarney National Park, The falls are approximately 20metres high and are just a short distance from Muckross House where you can pick up a ride in one of the many jaunting cars. We decided we would walk and set off along the path by the side of Muckross lake taking in the views and where we saw this beautiful dragonfly and butterfly.
(Muckross house is a mansion designed by British architect “William Burn” 1843. It has 65 rooms and built in Tudor style.)
There were a lot of people around but everyone seemed to adhere to social distancing on the walks and around the house and gardens.
On our return to the car we then headed to see the ruined Ross Castle just further up the road.
I was lucky to be able to catch it’s reflection on the water.
(Ross Castle is a 15th century tower house and keep, on the banks of Lough Leane.)
All in all we have had another wonderful day, the weather was perfect.
Thank you all for your lovely comments ,stars and hearts I really appreciate it.
