Anniversary Rose, Tickled Pink

Our anniversary Rose is still pushing out beautiful flowers it's been going strong since June. We've had it five years how and it's a beauty.
Church this morning and a selection of veg available as usual. This afternoon Katy and the girls came for lunch and to leave their dad in peace to sleep he's on nights this weekend.
They were both in good form and full of chat.
Ali came around this evening for dinner and to play a simple version of mahjong. We haven't played for around 30 years, but it was surprising how much came back. Didn't do any scoring, I remember getting so tied up with doubles etc but we did some of the basics. We used to have a really detailed instruction manual which we used for scoring but I couldn't find it. It may be with the other set, which I'm sure we have, but I couldn't find. I found 2 sets but somehow I felt there should be a third..... The sparrows twittered!
For dinner, I made a pizza and a plum sponge to use up some of the plums we were given last week. Both tasted very good and were well received.
