HONEYEATER

The photo I had for today was rubbish, I've disobeyed the rules and uploaded this little New Holland Honeyeater that was sunning himself in the late afternoon sun last Thursday at Pt Piquet in the southwest of WA.
They're the funniest little fellows with their antics.
I have a couple more shots in extras from our time in the southwest at the weekend:
1. Splendid Fairy Wren soaking up the late afternoon sun;
2. Donkey Orchid in front of the house of Ninniex in the southwest;
3. The back view of a Splendid Fairy Wren - lovely feather layout on his back and you can just see his beak having a workout and
4. This might be Mr Splendid Fairy Wren who displayed no fear at all with our presence.

I will be away for a couple of weeks.  I hope to have some more photos of Western Australia for you on my return.  It will be hot, weatherwise.
