Swan-song

This morning we went to Eaton Park.

I love walking in parks for the humanity that can be witnessed. People walk in parks for solace, for company, for their dogs, for what they can see, for nature, for fun, for themselves and for comfort. In fact the list is endless!

Harris did lots of meeting and greeting and enjoyed his walk enormously. I could tell by the spring in his step (he even had a few little runs - :)).

I spent some time watching the swans and was reminded of 'swan-song'. The phrase refers to an ancient belief that swans sing a beautiful song just before the moment that they die, having been mostly silent during their lifetime.
