That time of year....

when nuts have to be buried and very rapidly! He was leaping around on the grass, then running back for more from the feeder.
It was so calm today, not a breath of wind, which made the warmth so good to feel!  Enjoyed a good long walk, as we are having a Zoom Book Group later.
There was a lot of bird activity, Swallows, Woodpeckers, Wrens, Crossbills, and assorted Tits. Good to hear them all.
Plenty of fungi out from our particular rarity, the Pearly Webcap to the masses of Chanterelle.
Still plenty of Scabious in flower and saw one Small Scabious Mining Bee. Also found a Fox Moth caterpillar and a Pale Eggar too (new to me)
Wonderful walking day!
