Speckled Wood at Fiskerton Fen

Today has been much less dismal and much more productive. First order of the day, after breakfast was to go out and find a Blip while the weather was bright. We opted for a drive over to Fiskerton Fen. There were a few butterflies around, and lots of dragonflies busy creating the next dragonfly  generation!

The dragonflies and many of the butterflies were moving far too quickly to photograph, but fortunately a speckled wood was obliging!

Once home we had lunch and then I cleaned the kitchen thoroughly, and Brian finally got round to putting up the new bathroom cabinet. He also fetched some shopping for Jae as we had no list from him yesterday.

This evening we will go out for a meal for the last time, going dutch with Rishi Sunak!
