It has been an unexpectedly pleasant, warm and sunny day. We started out planning to prune a flowering cherry tree which had rotten branches on but ended up cutting the whole thing down which took most of the day! We have now booked 2 trips to the recycling centre to get rid of the rubbish and will then go to the garden centre to find something to plant in its place.
