Last Wednesdays mixed media challenge taught me how to do 'image transfer'. You take a picture from a book or a magazine or even a photo, put Mod podge on the right side and glue it down so the wrong side is upwards. This image, which is from a garden magazine was glued down on old music paper. Then you let it dry. When it's dry, gently spray water on it and carefully rub so the layers of paper is rolled off, showing just the picture. This was my second try. The first ones were less successful. I've made some misstakes and rubbed off the picture down to the music paper, but only in a few places. I panted the background using both green and black at the same time, with a sponge. Then some stencils with Distress oxide, background stamp and words.
This Wednesday there's going to be another challenge.
