How to peel an apple

I brought lots of cooking apples with me from Lucy and Roddy’s garden. Today we decided to freeze them. Roddy found this apple peeler in the garage so decided to give it a whirl. I assumed it just peeled the apple. Little did I know. We decided to have a competition to see who could peel, quarter and then segment the apples the quickest.
Roddy won hands down. I hadn’t realised that this machine peeled the apple, cored it and then made it into a spiral, so by cutting it down the middle, you had perfect slices of apple. I had to eat humble pie!!
