Take me away... from where I'm going
Captains Log Broad adventure Date numero troi
No 36, I'm being promoted again, because I managed to stay in my own bed, all night. We changed the rules about who sleeps where. Normally Himself has to sleep nearest the door to stop the attackers who come in the middle of the night from getting to me.
I found however, the threat of suffocation was greater than the fear of being attacked in my bed by unknown assailants. I slept by the door - all the more easier for me to make my escape.
The morning dawned, calm, sunny and blue.
We watched boats sail up the river; we watched the same boats sail down the river. I called the pilot. No chance of getting under the bridge today, or tomorrow, or the next day. Water is too high.
We walked in to the villages and stopped for breakkie.
Captain et numero Uno, had Full English. I had Eggs benedict Royal, which is always a treat on holiday.
It was lush, and also only £11 for the three of us, with tea, because of the dine out for less Wowcher scheme being run by the government.
We walked the length of the village and got water to top up our supplies, and then headed back to the boat.
We had the usual panic and swearing as we tried to cast off and simultaneously turn.
But then we were underway.
There were no Sunday idiots. despite it being a Monday Bank Holiday. We sailed along, 4 mph, and waved to other boats, got stuck in the middle and kept to the side.
We sailed past two lots of moorings because it looked so busy, and then got ourselves into this one. This was a reverse park. Difficult manoeuvre, but we managed, without hitting anyone.
I had a nap (this is becoming a regular occurrence and Captain and Number Uno - went and scouted out the surrounds.
They came back after an hour with two cans of lager and three ice creams. We all sat and chilled in the sunshine, looked at the lovely water and read our books and just relaxed.
This is Salhouse Broads. - Himself told me to remember where we were. It's very difficult.
