Gullane beach

Because it was such a beautiful, sunny day in Edinburgh, my wife and I decided to take a drive down to Gullane for a bite of lunch and a walk along the beach. After our nice lunch, we headed down to the beach where there was a biting wind that made it absolutely freezing. And to make matters worse, we couldn't do our walk along the beach because the tide wasn't just in but the water was coming right up to the sand dunes. We have been to Gullane on numerous occasions and have enjoyed loads of lovely walks along the beach but we have never seen the water come this far up.
