Misty Garden

A messy image that sums up time spent in the messy veggie garden. It really did go to seed while we were gone last month, and I haven't caught up. But there are some lovely cherry tomatoes and romas and other varieties producing well. Old German, Jubilee, Sunny Boy, Pink Brandywine...  I also spotted more monarch caterpillars (seventeen the other day!) on the milkweed patch, which is much smaller now. 

This was as bright as it got today. I spent an hour weeding in the light rain, then the heavier rain, and then called it quits.
