Well, not quite.

Actually, it was blowing a 90Km/h gale, it was nearly impossible to stand up, tents were disappearing and the spray was being torn off the lake.

Lago Pehoe here is way down the order of lakes, so by the time the glacial water arrives it's been filtered clean of sediment - hence the amazing colour.
