Ireland day 6

When the sun shines you just want to get up and get going.

 After a hearty Irish breakfast we took a walk back into Dingle. ( 1) First stop the pharmacy to buy some antihistamine cream for my midgies bites ow! ow!ow! The little blighters are as bad as the Scottish ones that got me last year, next stop a shop selling pottery to buy a present for Di our doggie sitter who sends  picture updates every evening.

As it is a beautiful morning,  We are retracing our steps from yesterday. First we stop at Dunmore head (2)  a bit of trivia - In 1588 at  least 5 ships from the retreating Spanish Armada negotiated  the rocks at the entrance to the Blasket sound to take shelter. (Also the location for Star Wars)  carrying along the Slea Head drive we stopped to meet this guy(3) who was very happy to have his picture taken.

Our next stop was a visit to the Louis Mulcahy pottery , one of many in the area, I fell in love with the little  fella above.

We travel further North passing Dunquin and arriving at Clogher head where we see the stunning views of Sybil Head (4)and to the right the Three Sisters (5).

We return to Dingle and carry on up over the Connor pass, at 456m it is Ireland highest motor road.

Back home at the cottage after two lovely days.
