Celebrating with a Norwegian Dark and Stormy

Hot on the heels of our paper on sea level rise, a project that researches it further starts today.

2 years in the planning, a ten million euro budget, 28 partners in 8 countries. PROTECT is a massive EU project that should move us much further towards understanding how sea level rise will evolve in future.

So I'm celebrating the start of the 5 year project today with a dark and stormy cocktail this evening. I discovered after we ran out of rum that the Norwegian Linie Akvavit is a more than acceptable alternative to rum.

It's aged in sherry casks and their selling point is it is carried in ships across the equator and back before being sold (
