I clearly can't prioritise

So, my knitting backlog hasn't suddenly disappeared since yesterday, but that hasn't stopped me casting on a new shawl today. I say new - it's the same pattern as yesterday, even the same brand of yarn, Malabrigo (oh, the soft, squishy, Uruguayan/Peruvian loveliness!). BUT, this time using up all the Worsted & DK yarn left over from other projects. My *ahem* theory being that heavier weighted yarn = bigger skein = significant contribution to my 'Operation Use My Stash Up' - my yarn storage is on the verge of becoming problematic.
