Wags to Riches

Was really stuck for a pun and then blam - inspiration hit. This picture of Tim (one of the freshers) was taken in Wagamama's when the whole breakdance crew went there for dinner in between performances.

Today was Pizazz, which is the annual dance show put on by Warwick Tap, that features lots of the other dance societies on campus. Needless to say Breakdance was there representing.

After an early 8am start we trekked in to Leam to do a tech run through. Unfortunately during the final rehearsal a dancer from Warwick Tap (the first aider, no less) fell and dislocated her knee meaning that the rehearsal was put on hold for 45 minutes whilst an ambulance turned up to deal with it. Katie (the dancer) was integral in organising last year's Pizazz and was in about 5 dances throughout the show so it was real shitty luck that she fell and busted her knee. When the previous 4 weeks of your life have been dedicated to rehearsing non-stop for a performance, only for it to be taken away from you right at the last second, it sucks.

Both breaking performances were awesome and the freshers absolutely killed the routine (as soon as videos are available online I'll link to them).

In the wise words of R Kelly, after the show it's the after party and that saw us head to Kelsey's for multiple jugs of Eliminator and the usual array of dance offs.

Yet again another day at uni where no work gets done and a lot of dancing happens. More days like this, please
