Billy Goat

Mud and rain

Down to the club with light winds and blue skies. Rigged and launched the boat with my sailing pal along for the ride. Jib and mizzen gentle sail along the back of Osea island and then back up river to the club.
All going pretty well until the last few yards when the wind freshened and threatened to prevent our getting to the slip. We got out the oars and rowed to the slip and David reckoned he could step out and guide us in.
Unfortunately he managed to snag the jib sheet, upended himself in the water and got a ducking.
Alas his iPhone and car keys were in the pocket of his shorts.
Luckily the car keys still worked.
Now in the bungalow alone for the night after a fish and chip supper.
