Brakes (2016)

Halfway down the runway
 the pilot decided to abort, 
message comes over the tannoy, 
"crew to emergency stations...."
The plane goes silent.
The flight attendants take their positions
looking out the window,
hands on the handle
looking down the asile.
People poised, ready to sprint
then there is another message
"Normal Operations"
The biggest sigh
under 200 masks
