Big School... the final countdown!

We had our first face to face meeting with L’s reception class teacher today, actually in the classroom.

L was really nervous (she hasn’t slept properly for 4 nights now) - “big school” has been such an unknown and abstract thing to her due to lockdown and all it entailed. Normally she would have been in during the summer term for a settling in session and had a class picnic to start making friends.

The teacher was lovely and I could see and feel L becoming happier. She took her nursery comforter with her and the teacher said it would be ok for Bunny to stay in L’s bag during the school day which made L smile.

Well done, L.
