Ziggy
Ziggy lives next door to Mummy hazelh. He often deposits his ball at her feet as an invitation to play. When he spotted me packing the car this morning, he ran over to see whether I would be his playmate. This gave me my blip for the day.
We popped into Hexham to run a couple of errands this morning before setting off north up the A68 for the trip back to Edinburgh. We were unlucky to be held up at road works for a long time soon after we left, and to get stuck behind a snow plough(!) on a lorry with escort for a substantial stretch of the journey. We also had to take a longer route than usual (a diversion on the A7) because the A68 is still closed at Fala. A stop-off at Melrose for lunch added to our time on the road - but it was worth it for the delicious meal of soup and sandwiches.
While Mummy hazelh and I were travelling, Paddy and Caitlin made an offer for a flat in Portobello, and it was accepted!!! They came round to our flat this evening to tell us all about it - and for a game of Catan, which I narrowly lost to the world champion.
Exercise today: none other than a small amount of walking (7133 steps).
