In a Pickle Again

It took me 1.5 hours to generate this jar of spiced pears scrumped from the hedgerow , most of that time spent cleaning sticky syrup spills from the cooker hob!
I feel too much pressure to preserve the overflow of autumn fruits and must stop buying Kilner jars. I don’t even like pears much!!
