2020 Monday — Pairs
The photos in this collage were captured in our afternoon outing, which I mention below.

Mr. Fun headed out our door in the early morning to walk to the pier and back, and even though I was asleep, I must have sensed he was gone, the quiet in the house, something, so I sat-up on the edge of the bed, listened for a moment, and then walked to the kitchen where I found the note he left me by the coffee pot. “I’m walking to the pier,” were the words penned on paper.
I poured myself a cup of the fresh brewed coffee he had made before leaving, and sat down in the front room to watch the morning and this little community wake-up. Before Mr.Fun got back, I had made the bed.
When he did get back, he was determined to get a pot of beans cooking for our evening meal. He’s learned from the bean package instructions that they don’t have to be soaked overnight. So he follows the instructions and we have beans for dinner.
This afternoon we took the pups to go walking in Tidelands Park. It is a favorite place because there’s so much to see — boats, fishermen, kayakers, paddle boarders, birds, fish, seals, otters — and benches to sit, rest, and enjoy it all.
After our walk, we went back to the house and devoured the pot of pinto beans Mr. Fun had prepared. And that was our Monday; the last day of August. Today is our grandson Emerson’s 29th birthday. I had mailed him a card before we left SoCal. So today we sent him several texts to wish him a happy birthday.
