Wet morning for school reopening.
School’s back.
Lines of parents with chattering children waiting for their allotted time of entry.
Road filled with cars once more.
But it just feels somehow a little bit more “normal”.
It must have been an “Induction Day” on Tuesday where there was a queue of parents with children which snaked around the front of the school being marshalled by staff. In order show them what to do on the first day back, which classrooms and what to expect, as they were taken inside, at intervals between each family group. The whole process took 2 hours from 8.45am - 10.45am.
Thankfully that was a fine sunny morning.
We’ll hear how our three grandchildren, 8, 7 and 4 managed their days a bit later on. Toby’s first day at Primary.
So Bonnie, at 18 months, will miss them today.
