Sunshine Seagulls

Today we went up to the northern end of the lake and had lunch at Colico. We did not realise the 6th stage of the under 23 Giro d’Italia was departing from Colico today.

When we arrived at Colico there were masses of cyclists and their support vehicles as well as the crowd watching the departure. A little unfortunate!

At least the restaurant was not busy and we got a table with no trouble. We had hardly sat down before one of us was stung by a wasp. We briefly adjourned to the cyclists’ first aid centre where a doctor gave us some ointment and an ice pack.

Apart from the wasp drama we had a nice lunch.

Very nice weather today with sunshine and temperatures around 28 c. The seagulls seem to have a favourite spot to line up and watch the early afternoon activity.
