Peak Viewing

We spent most of the day driving up to the Peak District for a two night stopover on our way to Northumberland.

We're stopping in a very comfortable B&B at Darley Dale just outside Matlock and were in time for a late afternoon stroll by the River Derwent in soft Derbyshire rain and a quick view of the area.

We enjoyed a fine meal at the nearest pub; in my case, proper steak and kidney pudding washed down with a couple of pints of local ale. Perfect.
