Martin Mere
Thursday 3rd September 2020
Communion service in church this morning for the second week and we nearly doubled our numbers with 30 in attendance. The message is beginning to get out that it is as safe as it can be in church.
I took the afternoon off and took mum to Martin Mere. We had a lovely leisurely walk around and only spent a short amount of time in one of the hides. Neither of us could believe it when we realised we'd been there 2hrs 20 mins. It was extremely safe with the one way system they've put in place and, despite them saying they'd sold out of tickets for today, we hardly saw anyone else, apart from at the start.
We had watched these swans for a while and had just started to move away when they decided to have a mad dash across the pond. Needless to say we were in the wrong place to capture it. We went back and waited a bit and they gave us an encore.
A fabulous afternoon out and I decided to become a member so there are likely to be more photos of wetland birds over the next 12 months. It will be a change from Knowsley Safari Park.
