Vuelta al Cole!

Here we go again! Except we don't have any children yet!

The rest of the school came back, in school uniform too which feels much more 'normal'. We stood at the gate and welcomed our old classes back in as they went off to their new teachers- that they'd never met. They were mostly smiling and happy as we all welcomed each one by name, and only one out of the 60 really cried and the boss had to go and take him in. So hard not to be able to hold a hand, etc, but they won't be in our 'bubble' any more, so we can't touch them :-( 

We spent the day pottering and then in the afternoon we blitzed the outside- very dirty work but worth it. I hosed lots of things and we sorted the sand, water, bikes etc so that both classes will have the same things on our 'trump wall' of a playground....

More rain this evening which was very depressing. My mood does go in line with the weather! At least we've got our children visiting tomorrow- it will be nice to finally meet them.

Facetimed Lucy at lunch who is on her holidays in Devon. She animatedly said to my mum "I haven't seen you for ages and ages Gramma!" We saw her on Sunday! Missing her though.
