Sals Good Pub or Grub guide #1
monday monday.....even the Pope had trouble facing another one!
woke up about 3.30am. sneaked a look outside and oh no, it's snow again! quite a bit of it, by the looks of it.
slept til 6.30am and up. snow still falling a bit. couldn't face a Monday morning bus journey, so as it was slushy snow, and starting to thaw, got the car out.
a good morning, and went for a wander in search of hot food for lunch. studidly i'd forgotten my soup, so instead plumped for a lovely portion of lasagne and salad from the legendary 'pop in' cafe. Had taken my camera out at lunch and wandered around looking for inspiration. decided on this picture of the Bell. Recently confirmed to be the oldest inn in Nottingham (older than the Trip to Jerusalem and the Salutation).
we like The Bell. Good food, served quickly. great atmosphere and entertainment, particularly St Patricks Day, and Christmas time. think its my duty to promote our wonderful city in the blip world, so will occasionally do a pic of fave places to eat/drink!
back to the office, lasagne was good. busy afternoon, and Monday swept by quite quickly.
home, picked up Pete, and then off for a spinning class. really didn't want to go, but sooooo glad i did, as really enjoyed it. ran home, in, warmth at last (it's freezing out there tonight!).
finished off the evening watching the penguin programme on BBC, with Pete totally enthralled with it!
