Where Have All The Tourists Gone?

It is lovely and quiet at Playa Paraíso now. Nearly all the visitors have returned to whichever far-flung part of Spain they came from and left us all in peace.

With the covid infection rate rising alarmingly quickly, we find ourselves well-and-truly on a second wave.

And of course we blame the tourists for bringing it here. We actually had two cases in the urbanisation, who were visitors from Madrid.

We must be extremely close to lock-down conditions again, as the numbers are as high as they were in April, with nearly 9000 new cases yesterday.

And still people wander the cafe and bar areas without masks and socialise in groups larger than 10.

When will they ever learn?
