Royal Yacht Britannia

A breezy day, showers this morning, and more this evening.  It did have a few warm sunny spells too.

Up early, and packed up, leaving the cottage.  It was a lovely village to stay in, and will have to return.  Headed off to Edinburgh, and a night staying in Leith.  A bit of site seeing, some shopping and a meal out later.

We booked a tour on the Royal Yacht Britannia, and what a stunning ship.  The tour took us over five decks, with about 30 points of interest.  From the bridge, to the Royal quarters and dining, the officers quarters, the crew quarters and the engine rooms.  The general dogs body didn't have much room, certainly nothing compared to her majesty.  Lush bedroom, own office and sitting room, the luxurious dining room and then this grand living room for entertaining guests.  A beautiful boat, but a lifestyle I do not seek.  Taken at the Ocean Terminal, Leith.
