A bonus today!

On our way home from Pitlochry we had a couple of stops and one was at Cluny House Gardens ...... a secluded, unique woodland garden overlooking the scenic Strathtay valley. Not the best time of year for flowers but the Giant Redwood, height about 41m, was quite amazing to see.

What we didn't know was that these gardens, in Perthshire,  are the best place to see Red Squirrels. We saw plenty but they were so quick and well camouflaged against the woodland floor.  We had just about given up hope of getting a photo when one suddenly climbed up to a wee feeding box at the edge of the car park. No time to adjust focusing ..... point and shoot was the only option.
