Stairway to mayhem

Spent the day at Tyntesfield, a national trust estate near Bristol. Narrowly avoided disaster on the way there as an escaped horse panicked and bolted next to our stationery car as a paramedic attempted to lead it to safety.

This caused us to be late to meet my sister and her kids for our 'picnic' and they were pretty cold by then, we ate our sandwiches in the falling snow.

We warmed up by going inside the house for a look around. Leaving without anything being damaged was quite an achievement, with 6 children ranging from the ages of 18 months and 10 years running around.

Went to see les miserables this evening, which I kind of enjoyed... Was good seeing it at the cinema as I don't think I could have sat through it at home.
