It happened like this. I was walking down 5th Avenue, not a care in the world save losing my apartment, woman and dog the previous day. I was thinking light thoughts because I was as high as a kite and twice as pumped.

I remember a car, a screaming car, coming towards me. Two men got out. I had several smart remarks ready to deliver and then, well then the world went dark.
