Bewl Water
Enjoyed a pleasant afternoon at Bewl Water which is a huge reservoir that straddles the Kent/East Sussex boundary. It was built in the 1970s by damming and flooding the valley of the River Bewl. It holds over 31 million litres of water serving a large area of the South East of England. We walked across the top of the dam and into the surrounding woodland but not the full 20 kilometres to make the complete tour of the reservoir. A project for another day!
