Beautiful night out

Tonight we were invited over to some friends for a fire and hotdogs and s’mores.

It was a beautiful calm evening. The sun set early as it’s been doing more and more, and we sat by the warmth of the fire. We told stories and wondered about 2020. About how we were faring compared to the more populated parts of the world and how grateful we are to live where we do.

In between we ate some great simple food and their daughter who is off to the UK for school in two weeks made us melted marshmallow and chocolate s’mores. Mmmmm.

It was a perfect way to end the week.

We sat in the dark as the embers kept us warm enough and the coyotes started howling and yapping. Their horses came in, the dogs howled at the coyotes and all in all it was a pretty lovely evening.
