Milestone
Good to see Jacqui (and Fletch) who popped in for a coffee this morning when she came to collect a couple of items of shopping.
Walked down to South Road again this afternoon, along with MrM. On looking at the auction house catalogue yesterday, I spotted a violin. MrM did some research, and decided that it would be worth viewing the instrument, with a view to putting in a bid. Unfortunately, said violin didn't look worth buying (and whether or not the maker's label on the inside was genuine is debatable). MrM was quite interested in some tools, but included in the lot were several miscellaneous items of junk that would inevitably end up at the tip, so he decided against bidding. Turns out that the bathtub isn't included in tomorrow's auction...
Rest of the afternoon spent sorting out the 'extra' guitar case that arrived unexpectedly. The guy I spoke to at the manufacturer's was totally mystified as to how or why it was sent out, and seemed relieved that we're happy to keep it and pay for it! MrM will have to make another classical guitar in the near future!
The milestone is on South Road; the distances are to London, Edinburgh, Morpeth, and Cornhill-on-Tweed.
