Stilts

Black-necked stilts, at Shoreline.  Cycled over there early.  The stilts were feeding near the bird observation platform at low tide, and were kind enough to walk close to each other.

The cycle path runs parallel to 101 - from a point near University Avenue, the traffic signs were showing 12 minutes to San Jose Airport, at 08.30 am on a Friday morning.  Traffic was free running. The previous normal has not returned. There were very few planes, too - normally that area has general aviation into Palo Alto airport and is in the arrival path for SFO.
