Why did you destroy all your early work?
I thought it wasn't any good.
Did you, like Edward Weston, ever regret that?
Yes, in away. I realised that, no matter how bad my early work was, it still has a direct lineage to the work I do today. I am continuously trying to refine what I felt in those days. I hope I've learned something and I always hope the next essay that I do will be my best.
