Surprise

This bird caught my eye as it jumped around in the bamboo that lines one side of my yard.  At first I thought it was a finch, but it was too big ... a sparrow, but it was too colorful.  When it flew into the tree, and sat for a few seconds, I took a few shots for identification purposes.  Little did I know that it was a juvenile male Rose-breasted Grosbeak.  Eventually that touch of red will fill in the chest area.  I've seen one other grosbeak in my yard a few years ago, and I believe it was in the spring.
