On The Turn

Brown leaves backlit by the setting sun are letting us know that autumn is on its way. Another windy day, with blue skies and a few puffy white clouds. But as the sun got lower in the sky, shadows became longer and the light a little softer. I liked the hazy filtered sunlight coming through the trees off camera to the right. And the grass in the foreground also caught some colour. There is even reflected light on the underside of the big willow tree.

I made sure to exclude the sky to focus attention on the backlit scene with all the light bouncing around. But I wanted to keep the forked tree limb in the top centre.
