Moonset over Uplands

While I was taking this shot I shone my flashlight out into the ocean. Two eyes stared back, like cats eyes in the dark, but in the water. A fish? Too wide-set for that. Must be a seal. But no, it climbed out onto the beach and ran. An otter! Big too, maybe 100 lbs.

Farther up the beach a woman was collecting stones in a basket by flashlight, and a small dog ran by with a flashing red light.
