Sunday Drive

My back has eased enough that I could go for a short drive to visit friends who live in the country.  I saw a native pigeon in their tall Kowhai tree but didn't have a long lens.  It was nice to exchange news and discuss the state of the world.  Driving back home we stopped beside the Wairoa River to get a blip of the water flowing over the rocks.  I don't know what the structure on the far bank is for.  
Feeling positive about the coming week.
