The Watcher

Back for another session on the river where the big Chub and Barbel  were caught, it was a bit boggy having been under some 3 feet of floodwater after we left last time. I did manage to get set up in my preferred spot and the swim didn't appear to have been changed by the event.
No 'big one'  today as the best possible fish was lost almost immediately on contact when the hook link knot failed. But a very enjoyable day with some nice Roach caught, 2 Kingfisher's doing flypasts, some huge Dragonflies (see extras for a poor example) and a gallery of spectators, the one in the image above is called Jimmy !
