The Shuttleworth Collection has  now held three drive-in air displays: today was the third. These are the first drive-in air displays anywhere in the world. Each car is allocated a marked-out space wide enough to take the car itself and chairs alongside it. That is your space for the duration of the display, and you should stay in it as far as possible - but there are coffee stalls, ice-cream vans and loos within easy reach of each block of cars. Social distance grids everywhere for queuing and loads of hand gel dispensers. You can visit the hangers and the shop before the display, if you wear a mask.

Best of all, the PA was saved for emergencies only and if you wanted to hear the commentary you listened to it on your car radio! So, blissful PA silence all afternoon and a chance to hear the aero engines properly!

The volunteer staff were brilliant! Altogether a unique, safe and very enjoyable experience.
