Perfect day on and off Kintyre
Sunny sunshine so nipped over to Gigha on the first ferry at 10am. Walked the southern part of the island, or should I say, we were walked by old Benny the dog who led us to Achamore Gardens up to the viewpoint then buggered off. Cracking walk with a million stunning views. Nipped up to Twin beaches for some white sand and a look at Jura’s impressive paps
Back to The Boathouse for some Islay gin with added blueberries and incredible seafood. I had the prawn tempura and smoked salmon on onion bread. Heaven!
Sadly curtailed by the last boat at 2.30 but then skipped to Skipness. Wow, what a wee gem and had we not eaten we would have tried the seafood cabin but instead walked to the Point and gaze at Arran in that sharp glorious sunlight that only the West coast can bring.
Back to Tarbert for cuppa and a fruit slice with a 99 chaser ( raspberry sauce)
Read the papers whilst waiting For a cracking sunset like last time, but not tonight Josephine.
Pink cheeks, sandy toes, foo belly.
