Sea Jeep, Leysdown On Sea, Isle of Sheppey

Today we thought we would complete a hat trick of Isle of Sheppey seaside towns and villages (after already visiting Sheerness and Minster) by taking another micro trip to Leysdown on Sea.
Leysdown in another village further along the coast from Sheerness and Minster. It has very similar characteristics to both these places as the main village sits away from the actual seafront. Once you have passed through the village you can then drive on to a field right next to the sea wall which in some stretches is lined with holiday homes and static caravans.
When we arrived the tide was out and you could see the full expanse of the beach which helped to show off the sweeping coastline. The beach was also spotlessly clean - which you cannot say about all seaside resorts. My main image is of a boat named "Sea Jeep" left high and dry on the low tide.
The secondary image is of a seaweed covered groyne with the base surrounded not by pebbles but thousands of shells. You can also just about see a windfarm on the horizon.
