My Blue Eyed Girl

Oh good heavens, I cannot believe the love that I feel for this child. Today David, Erin, and I went to brunch with Grandpa Popsicle in honor of Erin's birthday, which is tomorrow. It was her second celebration; stretching a birthday across an entire weekend is the least we could do for someone so incredibly special.

Tonight I made the famous birthday enchiladas and we had a nice, quiet little dinner for the four of us. It was a relaxing time and the little girl who is almost through with her pre-teens seemed content and happy. This brings me immense joy! Nothing quite fills my heart like making my children happy. There are many pleasures in life, but contributing to the happiness of someone that you love so much is more rewarding than just about anything. I feel so honored to be able to do these things.

Our children really are our pride and joy!
