still hanging on! Lovely dry and sheltered walk on a windy day! They knew how and where to build these old military roads in the eighteenth century! The wind was gusting above my head, forcing Swallows and Crested Tits into the woodland, but I was comfortable on the walk. It was warm too.
Another bonus was the parts of the track usually flooded were easily forded.
