Sightseeing

Local residents were given free vouchers for the Sightseeing open top bus tour of Oxford. It was 90% about University colleges, and quite a sanitised version - the controversial statue of Cecil Rhodes was not pointed out! Mention of the illustrious alumni featured just two women..... the Uncomfortable Oxford tour is a far greater challenge to intellect and ethics, but on the whole it was enjoyable and interesting to see Oxford from the top deck enabling a lot of peeking over college walls. Afterwards Anna and I went for a drink in a bar on the roof of the Westgate and she was surprised to learn it was my first foray into a pub or bar since February.
